THEN: The original 1906 Caboose

NOW: Before restoration

1906 Caboose

The most recent addition of railroad history to our Interpretive Center, this is the oldest and only remaining vintage 1906 Moffat caboose! This rare, wooden caboose came to the Museum in January of 2021. Our plan is to restore it to its 1936 steel construction.

Stay tuned for more details!

Caboose Restoration

It was quite costly to transport this vintage caboose to our museum in January of 2021. We currently do not have the funds to be able to restore it back to its 1930’s steel structure. If you would like to volunteer your time and/or donate to the project, we would be very grateful. To allocate your donation to this project specifically, please mention the 1906 Caboose Project in the optional ‘Write a note’ section in the donation form.

Family Train Ride

Coming Soon! Our train, that can accommodate both children and adults, is currently being custom built. We hope to have it up and running in 2023! Tickets will be available for purchase inside the Visitor Center for $4 per person.
